LICKER SHOCK
As if continually rising gas prices weren't aggravating enough, American consumers can look forward this summer to a sharp increase in the price of their pints, gallons and cones of ice cream.

I love the name of the National Ice Cream Retailers Association's executive director, who was quoted in the article: Lynda Utterback. Utterback? Reminiscent of udder, therefore of cows, milk, ice cream... you get the idea.

I've already noted that the gas pump might have a significantly negative impact on President Bush's re-election hopes; could a spike in rocky road prices form a one-two punch this November? Probably not... although I'd expect price rises in other dairy items might contribute.
