The Critical 'I'

Read. React. Repeat.

It appears that all "The Apprentice" camera time Donald Trump is getting is making his million/billionaire brethren envious. First Mark Cuban signs up with ABC for "The Benefactor", and now Virgin king Richard Branson ups with Fox for an egocentrical reality show.

Is this what the reality format has descended into, narcissistic showboating by media-hungry fatcats? Not that reality programming was particularly lofty to begin with. But honestly, how many loudmouth moguls can the television audience digest?

I've spent plenty of time dissing "The Simpsons", but it occurs to me that a can't-miss episode would involve C. Montgomery Burns having a reality show based on his day-to-day life. It's be an effective skewer to this mini-phenomenon.
