Barbaric Europeans. Unlike American sports leagues, where they at least try to make it appear that player transactions are conducted on a talent-for-talent basis, over there they blatantly sell off athletes for huge wads of cash. Such is the case with David Beckham, the king of English soccer, as he's being sold to a Spanish team, as a power-play pawn for that club's impending palace coup. Alas, Beckham ain't going for it, thus throwing a monkey wrench into the works.

Whoa. Hold up a minute.

I'm writing about Euro-soccer. SOCCER??!! Oh God!! I knew this sports-related blogging would drive me to weird, unnatural acts, but this??? SAVE ME!
